My bike

I like riding my bike. I ride a mountain bike. I love my bike. It’s black with lime green trimmings and a shiny blue streak. Sometimes I ride alone, but other times I ride with my friends or my father. I ride my bike to school on Thursdays. I go most of the way on the cycleway. When I get to school, I lock my bike up in the bike shed so that it’s safe. I do cycling for sport with Mr H and some other boys. Mr H checked all our bikes on the first day to make sure they were safe to ride on the road. After sport I ride home again and lock my bike in the garage.

A good laugh

Most nights I like watching Looney Tunes on Austar at 8.50. Wiley Coyote is so funny! Every time he chases someone he falls off a cliff but he survives. Road Runner is also one of my favourite characters. He makes a funny sound. Once Bugs was pretending to be Road Runner. In ‘Rabbit Fire’, Daffy kept getting shot at because when he read the sign ‘Duck Season’ he was pretending he was a rabbit, but Bugs kept on changing it to ‘Rabbit Season.’

Read this fabulous story

Last term in English we were reading ‘Hatchet’ by Gary Paulsen. It was an exciting survival story.

Brian Robeson was 13, about our age, when he was stranded in the wilderness all by himself. All he had was a hatchet. He was worried and scared but he used the knowledge and resources he had from books, TV and school to help him survive.  We kept reading because we wanted to know what happened next!

You have to read this fantastic, amazing book!
